At 212, generosity is a core value—and a tradition. Every winter, each employee receives a Christmas bonus that is earmarked for a greater purpose: charity. Our blog will highlight the local non-profits that each teammate has chosen and share why they are important to us and our community.

Inbound Marketing Specialist Julia Koorey is donating to Warsaw’s own Combined Community Services (CCS) this Christmas season. “Combined Community Services is making a tangible difference in our community,” says Julia, who grew up in Warsaw.

Julia remembers the first time she became fully aware of the needs in our community—when she was volunteering with her local toy drive as a child. “I noticed a huge need for basic things like food and clothing,” recalls Julia. “It brings me joy to know that my donation to CCS is helping people right here in Warsaw.”

Since 1984, CCS has been providing assistance to families in immediate crises, from food, clothing, diapers, baby formula, or hygiene products to financial assistance with utilities. CCS has also added self-sufficiency programs to equip low-income households to become financially independent.

“I love their mission,” Julia shares. “CCS plans for the future by taking preventative measures—ensuring struggling community members are set on the right path through economic self-sufficiency programs.”
