At 212, generosity is a core value—and a tradition. Every winter, each employee receives a Christmas bonus that is earmarked for a greater purpose: charity. Our blog will highlight the local non-profits that each teammate has chosen and share why they are important to us and our community.
Social Media and Content Specialist Bailey Gerber has selected a non-profit that is near to her heart: “I’m giving to Fellowship Missions this year because I love their commitment to holistic restoration,” shares Bailey. The Warsaw-based organization exists to help the homeless in our community.
Bailey and her college roommate worked closely with Fellowship Missions for practicums in counseling, which offered them a firsthand look at the model the organization uses to empower its residents. “Fellowship Missions doesn’t just offer short-term housing to put a band-aid on a wound,” Bailey explains. “They invest in whole-person healing, providing people in need with resources, tools, and skills to turn their lives around.”
Fellowship Missions’ residents go through discipleship programs to grow in both their personal development and their relationships with Jesus. “I’m so grateful for the work this non-profit is doing to be a safe haven for those in need,” says Bailey.
