2020 has brought more challenges than any of us would have ever anticipated. Now more than ever we must support each other—we must pour into our communities and stand by those in need. Every winter, each employee selects a local charity to support by donating a 212 Christmas bonus. May we all cultivate deeper levels of generosity, gratitude, and selflessness this holiday season.
Managing Partner & Chief Marketing Officer David Phelps is supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana this Christmas. “The need in our community for healthy adult role models is staggering,” David notes. “I’ve seen the way the BBBS mentoring program impacts the lives of children and teens personally. Many of the ‘littles’ are from single-parent homes that have multiple children. Often, they’re being raised by a grandparent or a parent working multiple jobs.”
Founded in 1972, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana seeks to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Big Brothers Big Sisters believes every child inherently has the ability to succeed and thrive in life. The nationwide charity is the largest donor-supported and volunteer-supported mentoring network in the country.
“BBBS gives back directly to our local community, supporting a segment that could easily go overlooked,” David says. “Through the charity’s work, children are cared for, shown love and respect, and seen by many who would have otherwise ignored them.”
