212 Gives Back: Finding Forever Homes for Abandoned Dogs

Nov 29, 2017 | 212 Articles, Christmas, Community, Giving, Non-Profit Organizations

Every December, each employee of 212 Media Studios receives a second Christmas bonus with instructions to donate it to a non-profit of his or her choice. Why? Because supporting our community and helping others is part of our ethos. In fact, this opportunity to give back has become a favorite holiday tradition in our office.

Senior Graphic Designer Josh Warner has chosen to contribute to a cause that he’s been supporting for several years: One Dog at a Time Rescue. Run entirely by volunteers, the organization is based in Warsaw, Indiana and facilitates fostering and adoption for dogs that have been surrendered, abandoned, or found as strays—many of which would otherwise be doomed to euthanasia.

“One Dog at a Time Rescue does an incredible job of finding good homes for dogs that would otherwise end up without one,” shares Josh.

It’s more than just an animal shelter, explains Josh: “The potential owners and dogs get to make sure each is a good fit. One Dog at a Time Rescue does a screening process using multiple forms and then arranges meetings to ensure everything is perfect for both the dogs and the owners before adoption takes place.”
