Every December, we launch our “212 Gives Back” initiative by giving all our employees an extra Christmas bonus. Rather than using this money for themselves, employees choose a local non-profit to donate to, and then share what they love about that organization with the rest of the team.
Senior Graphic Designer Josh Warner is supporting One Dog at a Time Rescue, an organization he’s supported for several years. “When owners can no longer keep their dogs,” explains Josh, “One Dog at a Time helps give dogs a new home to lower the risk of them ending up on the street or in a shelter.”
Josh knows the struggle that comes with surrendering and re-homing a pet, and he has a special appreciation for the way One Dog at a Time goes above and beyond to make sure dogs are paired with perfect forever homes. “One Dog at a Time uses an application process to make sure the dog and the owner are a good fit,” he explains. By taking an extra step to match people to their dogs, One Dog at a Time ensures no dog has to be given up a second time.
“I believe One Dog at a Time is very important to the community,” continues Josh, who hates the thought of abandoned dogs needing to be euthanized. He supports One Dog at a Time’s work of fostering and re-homing dogs to give them a second chance at life.
