Pinterest: A 60 Second Social Media Tip!

“Take their breath away.”
“Variety is the spice of life.”

I know—those statements are so cliché. But when it comes to Pinterest, you would do well to keep them in mind. If you want to take your followers’ breath away, spice up your pins with variety. No one likes to log in and see the home feed filled with a hundred crappy pins of the same uninteresting items by the same person or company.

You’ll capture their attention better if you:

  1. Spread your pinning throughout the day, rather than all in one sitting.
  2. Pin different items on different boards, rather than filling one board at a time.
  3. Pin quality images, rather than camera phone photos.

As an avid Pinterest user, I can tell you that nothing makes me want to unfollow a board or user more than redundant, low-quality pins clogging up my feed. Stick to the three rules above, and you’ll take their breath away!
